Preferred Name:
ST ANDREWS
Unit Type:
Scottish Burgh/District
Status:
District of County
Date created:

Date abolished:

Unit ID:
12837720
Authorities:
1971 Census of Scotland, Table 25, 'Enumerated households by tenure and household amenities', for 'County, local authority areas'.

Notes:

The 1951 Census parish table indicates there were 4 Districts of County in Fife in 1931 but does not identify how they relate to the 7 existing in 1951. It also notes that as this was the only DoC existing in 1931 with a boundary change in 1932, so it is likely Anstruther Doc and Weymss DoC were created from this unit.
